Michael Novak
CEO and Founder

Mr. Novak has over 30 years of experience in software international relations and digital media. He is currently also Chairman of Cogswell Polytechnical College, Silicon Valley's leading fully accredited digital media college.

In the field of international relations he has been the US representative to China’s only national software conference; was senior advisor to Dalian China's multimedia corridor and High Tech Zone; and sat on the board of Equal Access a UN and USAID partner that sends satellite-based digital media to 45 million people throughout Asia and Africa. In the 1990's he served as President of the largest intercultural consulting company in the US (Clarke Consulting Group) with 90% of its business dealing with US/Japan multinational corporate communications.

In the software industry he was VP Asia for Sterling Software. He began his career in software as co-founder of enterprise software company Ross Systems.

Mr. Novak's initial interest in media was as a member of the development committee at KQED.

Michael McConnell
Production Manager

Michael McConnell is the founder of Media Local Studios. He has ten years of experience in multimedia production and management. He specializes in media design for the music industry or "media rich" businesses. McConnell has an extensive background in audio recording, video production, motion graphics, web design, and programming.

Graduating at the top of his class, Michael McConnell received a bachelors of science in Multimedia Engineering & Design, with a minor in Business Management from Cogswell Polytechnical College. Previously, he was awarded two associate degrees in Mass Media and Digital Audio Production, with the highest honors.

Strategically located in the Silicon Valley, McConnell is continually involved in the future development and capitalization of media.

Mami Kikuchi Lyon
Director of Communications

For more than 25 years, Mami Lyon has not only worked as a professional interpreter & translator, but also as a singer, session vocalist, TV presenter, radio DJ, and lyricist. She has an extensive music background, including an education from the Music Conservatory at Musashino University of Music, performance violin in the Asahi Junior Orchestra, piano, music theory, solfege and listening comprehension.

Lyon has interpreted for Mick Jagger, Michael J. Fox, Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey, Barbara Streisand, Paul McCartney, and many others. She holds a bachelors in English and American Literature, from Aoyama Gakuin University, and a certificate in Communications, from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Mami Lyon's success includes productions with CNN, WOWOW, TBS, and Tokyo FM.
